About Me
Hello! I grew up in West Michigan with my parents and two brothers. My childhood included spending time at the beach or playing on the soccer field or basketball court. Throughout high school, I played Varsity soccer and basketball. After graduating from Mona Shores Public Schools, I attended Michigan State University and earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and I am currently pursing my master's degree in Educational Technology. After teaching 5th grade in Michigan, I pursued my dream job of teaching 4th grade in Chicago Public Schools. In my free time I love spending time with friends and family, crafting, staying active, hiking, boating, playing sports, going to the beach, and bike riding.
In addition to teaching, I also have a burning passion for coaching and had the pleasure of coaching our 5/6 girl's basketball team. As an educator, my passion involves building strong relationships with students and I have had the experience of using sports as a way to connect and build rapport with students. Sports provide students with endless opportunities and I have always found myself thriving to be apart of student's success inside and outside the classroom.
